BOKRO MURDER: ASHANTI POLICE ON MANHUNT FOR KILLER

The New Trust Newspaper has gathered that, the Ashanti regional Police Command is still on the serious hunt for the alleged boyfriend of the late Linda Poku, 26, who is said to have been murdered by the boyfriend. The accused boyfriend alleged had an affair with late Linda Poku on that faithful day at the deceased’s bedroom at Atonsu Bokro last stop within the Asokwa Municipality in the Ashanti region before the crime was committed.

Appiah Donkor Moses,who is now at large after, the incident on the 2nd April,2019 is said to be known to the family of the late Linda Poku who has left behind a two year old of child. According to Gloria Poku,a Junior sister of the deceased, the incident was reported to the Asokwa Police station on the same day.

She alleged that, items such as shirt, pen, a tie belonging to the deceased boyfriend now at large were found in the pool of blood at the deceased bedroom who was seen half naked with sperms on her. Gloria Poku and  her devastated mother, Madam Abena Dufie feel that the police was delaying in arresting the boyfriend who is a prime suspect in the murder. That, they have been going to the Asokwa police station for the past weeks but all that they are told is that, the matter is still under investigation. They want the pictures of the suspect publish in the media to fast track the arrest of Appiah Donkor Moses to face the law.

However, when contacted, the Ashanti regional Police Public Relations Officer(PRO),ACP Gordon Ahiayoh admonished the family to calm down as his outfit especially Asokwa police was still on the serious heels or man-hunt for the arrest of the alleged boyfriend and suspect in the murder.

They family should exercise a little patience as investigation is still ongoing and the Asokwa police is working on the process to secure the court order before the suspect’s pictures are allowed to published on the media and social media platforms”, he pleaded.

Meanwhile, this paper has gathered that, the final funeral rites for late Linda Opoku is slated for this Saturday, 11th May, 2019.
