The Leader and founder of Cornerstone Bible Church International at Ayigya within Oforikrom municipality in Ashanti ,His Grace Apostle Godbless Boateng has called for strict and strong monitoring on how Easter is celebrated among the people of Kwahu in the Eastern region of Ghana. He said, for some years now, the celebration of Easter in the area has met with criticisms as most of the youth both in the area and outside have turned the place into sexual arena. In his special Easter message, Apostle Godbless Boateng said he personally believes that, the chiefs and opinion leaders in the Kwahu area main aim for the celebration of the occasion apart from acknowledging the birth and resurrection of Christ is to map up strategies to develop their area but it has overshadowed. He said, the chiefs and opinion leaders in the area as well as government officials must strongly ensure that proper measures are always put in place to prevent the youth who besiege the area from orchestrate their evil activities. According to the renowned, respected and humble servant of God, it is very shameful to hear that ten thousand (10,000) condoms were shortage at Kwahu during the just ended Easter celebration. He said, the most annoying part is that, the chiefs in the area and leadership of the country see nothing wrong with this. “Instead of us to sit quietly to take sober reflection on the death and resurrection of Christ, we are rather promoting sexual activities, creating unnecessary traffics both humans and vehicles”, he lamented. He said, the future of Ghana is very bleak as the youth who are to take over from the current leadership are abusing their precious lives and the leaders too are also happy with it. He explained that, he don’t care being insulted as a man of God,and he is ever ready to die for the truth. Apostle Godbless Boateng also used the encounter to descend heavily on the President to as matter of urgency push his appointees to supervise all their respective institutions. He said, Ghana Water Company for instance needs to be properly monitored to make sure that water is supplied throughout within cities especially Kumasi. He said, for sometimes now water shortage in the Kumasi metropolis has become something unusual but government representatives seem not to care. “Sometimes water is not flowing for a week or weeks but we say water is life”,he added. According to him, he is very much concern in the cities all because there are no streams and rivers in these areas where people can rely onas an alternative.
